By using breakthrough systems biology approaches, NIMSB aims to better understand human biology and to contribute to medical innovation with great potential to benefit patients. To address these challenges, NIMSB is creating necessary infrastructure in state-of-the-art technology areas in cooperation with NOVA and MDC. NIMSB Technology Platforms will support front-end application of technologies, will provide access to equipment, training and consultation in methodologies, and will be involved in collaborative research projects and technology developments.

SINGLE CELL AND SPATIAL TRANSCRIPTOMICS

State-of-the-art single-cell genomics technologies and next-generation sequencing. Consultation for
experimental design, sample processing and data analysis.

PROTEOMICS, METABOLOMICS AND LIPIDOMICS

Advanced mass spectrometry-based, proteomics metabolomics and lipidomics. Shotgun and targeted approaches.
Support for sample preparation and data analysis.

DATA SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Bioinformatics tools, statistical analysis, and machine-learning methods for large datasets derived from
high throughput omics approaches. Consultation for experimental design and project planning.

HUMAN MICROPHYSIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS

Expertise on deriving organoids from progenitors ot pluripotent stem cells, genetically modifying them and
developing methods for characterization. Advise on setting up organ-on-a-chip experimental systems.

CLINICAL RESEARCH SUPPORT

Support for human sample collection, logistics, processing, storage and data management. Advice for planning
and execution of complex clinical research projects.
